Global Village 25.08.2009

Global Village... one ends... another begins...

In the 25th of August we had a Global Village event during the "Sustainable Development for the Community" project in the center of Târgu-Mureş.
Guided by the big balloon with 2 banners attached (which took as about 4 hours to put up...) and the music and radio spots made by ours RTM truly, people came by our tents and tables to see what's going on.
Everyone was delighted to taste some of the goodies that the trainees from Estonia, Lithuania, Poland, United Kingdom, Japan and Egypt prepared for this occasion and also winded up at the NGO's tents to learn more about them. And for those who wanted to taste some traditional stuff, Borsalino was there with grits.
To top things off, we had some very interesting contests like wheel-chair marathon, balloon popping and some Chuck Norris Jokes =) Of course there were also prices: Egyptian souvenirs like pyramids and papyrus.

Everyone had a good time and some of us can't wait for the next Global Village event, which happens to be organized close to us, in Cluj-Napoca, on the 4th of September.
Invited by the VP ICX-NC, Louie, trainees from all over Romania will try to go there as it sounds like the biggest GV event of the year!

So if you want to travel the world in one day, be sure to go there and I'm positive you won't regret or forget that day! I know I'll do my best to be there... how about you?

... and GO!

Hello...

My name is Neluţu, a cheerful and funny guy from Târgu-Mureş, a city in the heart of Transilvania, somewhere in the middle of Romania, a beautiful country in the South East of Europe, in this unequaled planet called Earth who's into the Milky Way Galaxy of this Universe.

I'm a student at "Petru Maior" University, at the Engineering Faculty, Computer Science Specialization on my 4th and final year.

I'm also an AIESEC member... again :)
...but the 2.0 version is faaar better than the old one ;)
At the moment my activities are split between Human Resources (or Talent Management) department and InComing eXchange (InComing eXchange Non-Corporate to be more accurate), being the Learning Environment Responsible (on HR) and also the Trainee Buddy Coordinator (on ICX-NC). Tough job... but someone has to do it =)

I'm also involved in "Sustainable Development for the community" as an OC and I've started my work on "Shape Your Future", a project in which I'm the OCP :P I will also take part as OC at WintCO :D

I think this should be enough information for a first post... see you very soon :)
